We have been renovating our property since 2019 and Gavin has done all of our electrical work for us. New consumer unit, rewiring and everything in between. We are always happy with his work and would definitely recommend.

Gavin came highly recommended. First impressions were great. Quick to respond, friendly and professional and able to squeeze us in a few days later. Then it all went, deeply deeply pear-shaped. Gavin didn't show, and he didn't contact me to say he wasn't going to make it. When I prodded him, he promised to reschedule. He didn't. I had to prod him again, at which point he (eventually) basically said "look, I'm really busy, you'll have to wait another week now. Sorry, not sorry". I don't doubt that Gavin is a great electrician, but he's obviously a victim of his own success at the moment, and for us, he had a bit of an epic fail. As a result, we still don't have any lighting downstairs, and are no nearer to getting the fault rectified, despite a lot of chasing on our part. So, I'd say best to avoid Gavin until he's figured out how to scale his business to meet demand. Shame. Edit: having reflected on this, I still think this is a more than fair review. I'm pretty new to all this, though, so perhaps I'm just really stupid. Do electricians operate in some sort of uniquely privileged sector where it's totally fine to let clients down, totally fine to be uncommunicative, and totally fine to then tell them that they have high expectations when they query this? If so, I want some of that! Time for a career change for me!
